Born in Malaysia, Qitat was created with one simple vision: to build a cat food brand that truly represents the spirit and culture of Malaysia. In Malaysia, cats are everywhere — in coffee shops, night markets, city streets, and places of worship. This unique relationship between Malaysians and cats inspired us to create something bigger than just pet food.

A Note From Our Founder
How It All Began
The idea behind Qitat did not begin in a boardroom. It began from something very ordinary — seeing cats everywhere in everyday Malaysian life.
Growing up here, I noticed how deeply cats are woven into our society. They sleep beside local shops, walk through night markets, and rest near places of worship. No matter our race or background, Malaysians have always shared a unique compassion towards cats.
Over time, I realised that Malaysia has a strong cat culture, but very few local brands truly represent that identity. I believed we could build something more meaningful — a brand that carries the spirit of Malaysia itself. A brand that feels local, authentic, and emotionally connected to the community.
This journey is still only beginning. But our dream is simple: that one day, when people around the world think about Malaysia’s cat culture — they will think about us.
